This has been an issue for a few months now.. is there a fix coming up?

It's pretty detrimental to the game, especially competitive servers with level caps.

Any news on a fix is greatly appreciated. Thank you

I have 1 scenario where this is 100% reproducable (I relealize this is not the main case for others). Apolgies for it being in dutch rather than english.
When there is a nvidia display driver reset, the game crashes, but the client is still connected. If I reconnect to the match before kicking myself in crcon and exiting steam, I can 100% of the time reconnect as level 1 while my level 500 account is still in the game. Its fun to mess around with but a pain otherwise when actually trying to play.

I am in agreement that this is a bug that should be fixed.

As a Moderator for community servers, I see this issue on a daily basis. Players get kicked due to level cap even though they are over 200 or more. Players can't play in certain squads and have to log in and out until the issue fixes itself. Hopefully you can address this.

This is a huge issue I see every day and have gotten it many times myself. When I'm trying to lead my squad to victory it doesn't feel right being stuck with a thompson. I was born to use the M1 Garand

This bug crops up constantly and it hurts the community.

Lots of servers have level caps in place to protect important roles from getting used by players who do not know the game. The level 1 bug forces these servers to disable this plugin (reduces game quality) or forces good players to not play these important roles (reduces game quality).

theres a bunch of things that cause it, but the only way i can reproduce it everytime whenever i want is by forcing a crash

No, but enough to be annoying.

It can also do it when i switch servers. And it doesn't matter if i quiet l quit the game first or not.

I have suffered from this issue. SInce last patch I have seen 3 other players with LVL 1 bug in the past week. Really affects gameplay/loadouts. Please fix.

This bug is so great that literaly it resseted my level overwriting its file resulting in my account getting broke
