SPA is no longer artillery. Shells don’t drop down with any trajectory meaning anything behind buildings, etc is impossible to hit. Also, more importantly, the MIL system is flipped upside down so now it’s backwards

Glad someone else is talking about this. I am an old guy but feels like I am yelling at a wall about it. The MIL changes are insane. It goes to show how little they know about what they are doing

Huge problem, pretty much unusable now. Its just like your trying to use a normail tank to use arty.

The reverse MILs is so mind boggling. They said “raise th gun so it shoots farther like in real life” and that is not at all how artillery works. Higher gun, higher angle , shorter distance, unless shell charges increased. The trajectory is so flat that it falls short of the distance a ton because it clips all the buildings and trees.

It should be moved to armor the way it is now. It is a mockery of artillery and any sort of indirect fire.

They made them assault guns, focusing more on direct fire rather than indirect fire.

I’m sure there is a much more detailed post somewhere on here about each vehicle, as I am no expert.

Problem is, each country had different classifications of vehicles and they don’t always overlap.

Assault guns, iirc, are a subtype of self propelled artillery/self propelled gun.

Just because they don’t have a high arching shot, does not mean these are not artillery.

You gotta account for not being able to shoot behind some tall structures but you can still be effective at long range with these things.

The only Artillery vehicle in the game was the Bishop, the other vehicles are all Assault guns and this is the best and correct change for these vehicles. they need tweaks and changes though, Swapping to Armour Crews and moving to fuel.

Pretty much makes them redundant at this stage at least for an artillery role which all the SPA's are designed around... with an artillery squad.

Still cant even compete with direct fire with zero reticle zoom and being stuck in first gear.

mls are not accurate, trajectory isnt accurate being an arty shell.

i made a post a while ago.

Just make the SPA specialize in inderect fire only, it will fix the trajectory problems.
