After several years and thousands off hours, i have a few suggestions:
- No Commander - Once a server is ready to move out of Seeding, there should be a server option to block leaving seeding rules until someone fills the commander role, and a notice on both sides a to why seeding still applies.
- Comms - so many games have squad leads that do not communicate. We need a way of setting a requirement for VIOP comms as a squad leader or you get kicked from the role at re-deploy.
- Minimum level for roles - Allow a server to set minimum level for roles to stop people with zero experience taking roles like recon or armour, or squad lead. Let the server admins configure it.
- Introduce a "Steam Roll" factor. Sometimes sides just steam roll sides that are stacked with low level players, and the server often dies off when this happens as people hate it. Introduce a time factor that makes it harder/slower to take the next objective and reduces over time, say 5 minutes to slow this down. Make it a sliding scale that can be set be server admins - so 1 minute after the last objective was taken, for the next one the factor is 10x harder for 0-2min, 2-3 mins 8x, 3 mins 5x, 2 mins 3x, 1 min 1x, 5 mins back to normal.
I thin these would help some of the big frustration on see discussed regularly on servers.
