And they also have a reduced firepower compared to inf due to no satchels, anti tank capabilities, or supplies.
They have the exact same long range spotting abilities as regular inf due to the SL binoculars being the #1 way to spot anything.
This idea would just turn them into a running simulator or just turn the spotter entirely into a flare gun user on the frontline.
Inf squads in the backline are already better than recon (AT rockets to quickly kill garrisons > Recon outpost ability) , no need to nerf recon
