Sounds like an officer problem. If people communicated more, at least half the problems everyone has would disappear.
You should also just watch the blueberries in general. If they seem like they are just running straight at the point, maybe don't she'll just before them.
You can set arty marks for offciers and commander, and ask commander to copy the mark if close to friendlies. The commander mark will be visible for everyone. But from my experience, people are often too locked in to process certain information 😅 , even spamming the arty mark sometimes does not work
Of course it's a comms problem, I never understand why game devs always take the weirdest decisions in regards to FF, making it hard to avoid and the most punishing. You can mark a Tank on the map for everyone to see as an enemy threat; but you cannot mark an active artillery zone? All this generates is an aversion to play arty due to people who don't communicate.
You CAN mark artillery, just like you can mark a tank. What are you on about?
