I was struggling to hit anything consistent shots with the new spa vehicles, so I made this web app to do the math for me. It’s pretty basic but it helps dial in the range way faster than manually calculating. Hope it helps some of you arty mains out there. There is still lot of variables with spa hitting direct shots, so the results may not always be perfect. Please use your best judgment when using these calculations. Supports desktop and mobile.

overcomplicating something for the sake of it. great work but why make more difficult than needed.

Playing on a map like Remagen would be something that requires a height difference.

Only a single angle is known though, so I'm not sure how it can be calculated on the fly

added "experimental" tag on the height value. Future updates should fix the value properly, if not will delete it to simplify calculations. thank you for feedback

Cool, thanks for that. A suggestion for it might be to make an advanced dropdown section for it.

That way it's out of plain sight, but can still be implemented if needed

Hmmm, is it possible that there is a default height set for users loading up the site for the first time

Well, with my formula I always hit the mark even with differences in height.

edit: Checked: there’s no default height on first load — it starts at 0. If someone sees a value, it’s just loading their last-used height from saved browser state (localStorage). Clearing site data/incognito/reset fixes it.

I'm not sure if the height plays much into the calculation. Artillery is straight up in the air

It could be that the tail-end of the curve is quite vertical

I tested Bishop and AVRE with multiple distances/height targets, and distance/2.4 - height doesn’t line up with the in‑game MIL scale. Example: Bishop at ~259m, your formula gives ~94 MIL, but the actual hit is ~242 MIL

height factor should be better now but cant say for certain, need more data for it

This is kind of a wild mention, but do you think that wind direction could affect the artillery? 😄

Possibly? Could be just dispersion that causes it to curve differently idk

finalMIL = round( tableMIL(distance) + (height/distance)*K - redmilhud ), yours are result = (distance/2.4) - heightMeters. doesnt work as bishop table is totally different from the rest(avre too).

the shots seems pretty random left and right even when you are on flat ground and shooting straight so could be just dispersion

I get the same result whether I shoot with 151 mil or yours with 402 mil with your calculator

But it's not accurate, the scattering circle is higher

You're a PS5 player - calculations don't count because you guys have a crazy blurry handicap atm.

He also confirmed two of the tanks (I believe the British faction) have a different calculation. It's update in the armor hub as well as the new data devs has provided us

Yep, as it is on the armor hub:

• All US/Germany/Soviet SPAs have the same ranging calculation
• The two British SPAs are unique and have two different ranging calculations

I’ve dug pretty deep into the SPA mechanics and built this calculator around how the game actually ranges SPAs.
