#Will the NVA have access to making boobytraps, and if so, how will they work?

probably same as anti personal mine but need longer deploy time
that how rising storm 2 vietnam did
Imagine the possibilities though with different systems and all
Great game, guess I just don’t remember it having traps though
not really . in my opinion ( as vietnamese) vietnam is not a good setting for semi-milsim shooter because how unbalance firepower/tech it was . fighting for underdog fun in single players game or movie because you have plot armor and game setting favor you win . PVP shooter doesn't have that . most players gonna quit or join the stronger side if they are on the receiving end of superior tech/fight power without plot armor hand-holding them to victory . rising storm 2 is the brightest exam of it , 99% of people either quit or stick with US side
there are reason why vietnam shooter so rare .
not want to be other guy punching bag in pvp shooter game was one of them .
To be fair, my experience with the game was short lasted, but I see your point
I've played a lot of RS2 and I think the balance was really good between north and south
South (US) had very strong offensive capabilities while the north had very strong defensive capabilities
Theres certainly some balancing issues with the campaign mode the game has but otherwise I think the asymmetry is possibly the best I've ever played
they add few extra stuff for nva/vc later to balance thing out a bit . freely deloy duska HMG to counter heli , mas-49/56 full size rifle round semi auto come with rifle grenade to counter US m79 .
also keep in mind in RS2 you can use fallen enemy weapon , gadget freely by just pick it up so it help nva/vc balance thing out even more . in HLL ? probably not
so ...no captured m79 , m16 , m14 , m40 sniper for nva/vc players
I suppose but really I still havent really had much of an issue with weapon damage, but I think the game does a great job in having the two sides play differently, with the north leaning into the guerilla tactics with the abilities and passives
