Title! I think it'd be cool to have mine defusing as a mechanic. Maybe make it only available to engineer and PERHAPS support on certain specs. Rather than blowing them up and making a ton of noise, you defuse it and it is disabled but left in place, or it disappears in a smoke puff like destroying enemy supplies.

I agree but I don’t see people using mines at all in hell let loose

I do see them using them, a lot of them. Can see some or more mines almost in every match - both AP and AT.
