My testing showed the US M1919 only had a 1 hit kill up to 75m. Same as the German MGs. The chart shows it at 100m. For your video, I wholehearted agree with 95% of it.
Almost all of the change would be both really healthy for the game and also really easy to implement for most of them as it's just changing some values, especially things like satchel not oneshoting heavy tanks (only disabling them, both turret and engine if placed on top of the tank's engine)
For the weapon damage I'm a little bit conflicted but overall in favor of your proposed changes, especially since it would make the BAR and FG42 more viable instead of being a mostly downgraded version of the Garand and G43.
What I would like most for these weapons and for the MGs is making them real fire suppression weapons : Instead of just applying the fire suppression effect per weapon type with the sniper being the strongest and the pistol being the weakest, apply it increasingly per bullet fired around you.
Currently a sniper shooting a SINGLE bullet at you will have more effect than a BAR dumping his entire mag around you, which totally go against the very doctrine the BAR was used for : fire and maneuver.
For the MG, I think 250rounds should be the maximum one player can hold at a single point, meaning that you would need to play with your teammates to have more ammo at hand with ammo boxes, making them a better cooperation tool. (currently the German MG42 gunner carries +50kg just for ammunition alone + 12kg for the MG... ~same for the US...)
For construction, I think engineers needs to be rewarded if their building helps defending a point, if the bunker or barricade blocks a bullet or if an ennemy touchs the barbwire, it should credit them points. Give them less point for just building structures and more for when they're being useful.
There are tons of ways to make the game in a better shape, the devs just needs to be more transparent on what their aim is.
Yes adding content is good for bringing more people, but quality of life updates and general improvement updates are what's needed to KEEP these players.
