Sick and tired of tank I.D. charts that aren't up to date? Want to study both front and flank silhouettes? Look no further.

How come the Sherman 75 is a medium but the Firefly a Heavy? Same chassis different armament.

Out of curiosity asking ( however very useful )

In HLL, for the most part the class of a tank is defined by their armament.. I say for the most part because there are two exceptions. The Jumbo 75 has a "medium gun" with heavy armor. And the Luchs is the only armored vehicle in the game that can only destroy other vehicles of its own class or below.

So comparing the Sherman 75 and the Firefly, the former cannot penetrate an enemy heavy tank head on, while the latter can. In game, the Firefly also has beefier armor than the Sherman 75 which for the most part cannot be penetrated by enemy mediums. Mostly, because it does have two weak spots.

Here's a new version that uses the space of this poster more effectively/has clearer silhouettes.
