I don't care about optimization. I am willing to play the game at 45 frames a second if the game looks beautiful. This game used to look BEAUTIFUL. And somewhere along the way everything started getting watered down. Give us some advanced graphic settings. AND IF I want to play the game with better visuals and suffer the effects of some performance loss let that be my choice. I have everything maxed out right now. I'm not impressed, need more advanced graphic settings.

The graphics got watered down around the time they started working on the console ports and optimization. Up until around Update 7 or 8 the game looked much more vibrant, but it was quite demanding even for PCs; so they changed the LODs, grass, foliage, and textures to make it easier to run. Now the game looks much more blurry and dull than it used to. See this screenshot from 2019 (old version of SMDM) for comparison:

Game is beautiful. Anyways most people are playing on low to see the enemy better. But when you out everything on epic, it nice.
