UPDATING THE DISCORD SERVER

I mentioned in a previous Dev Brief that the Discord server will be undergoing updates and maintenance to ensure it can continue being a platform for all community members - and one of those first updates involves revisiting the Community and Boot Camp categories - uniting the two existing mess halls and bringing all primary chat channels under one category - making it easier for new and existing community members to find topics and channels they’re most interested in.

Part of this Discord server update also involves providing new onboarding, where you’ll soon be able to opt-in to certain existing channels, and read through our new Server Rules.

Stay up to date with the planned changes by keeping an eye on this channel!

We have successfully completed the merge of the original mess-hall, giving everyone the space to now jump into conversation together

Some of your channels and permissions might be missing at the moment, but don't worry, you'll be able to get them back!

Please take the time to read our new #server-rules - here, you'll see our updated rules and policies. Access to specific channels has become opt-in only, and I will now share the steps on how to regain access!

Opt-In Channels

1. Head to id:browse > Customize
2. Read through the questions
3. Select your answer to determine which channels you want to opt-in to: WW2-History, Console Community Channels, and Off-Topic-Mess-Hall

Accessing Other Channels
Existing community members may not immediately see all other channels.
In order to make these visible, you can choose to follow specific channels using id:browse.

Alternatively, if you would like to make sure you're following all available channels:

1. Head to the small down arrow on the Hell Let Loose server banner
2. Check 'Show All Channels'

If you're having trouble or notice something doesn't look right, ping me and I'll look into it!

Hi all!

I'm happy to introduce a new event to the community... Wednesday Night Skirmish!

Here are the guidelines of the event:

• The sign ups will be sorted into teams to ensure balancing.
• Being that Skirmish mode is only 30 minute rounds, we will do best 2 of 3 rounds to declare the winning team.
• After the first round, the map will flip to the same map so the teams switch sides. (May flip three times if it's going to a sudden death round).
• Players will stay on the same team on map flips and play out the round.
• The team that has the mid-point after the 30-minute round will win the round.
• Map will be Elsenborn Ridge Skirmish.

Being that this a brand new event, I am sure we will workout the kinks and any issues that arise.

This is meant to be a fun event, so bring a friend and let's have a big turn out for the first event!

We are back with another Wednesday Skirmish Event!

How Skirmish Works:

• There is only 1 point to fight over, and the round only lasts 30 minutes. Whichever team controls on the point after 30 minutes is the winner.
• Garrisons are called "Forward Positions", and instead of being created 200 meters apart, they can be made 140 meters apart.
• For whatever reason there is a 3 minute cooldown per person when building a Forward Position.
• There is only 1 armor squad (medium tanks only), and 1 record squad per side.
• You cannot place Forward Positions in enemy territory.

Here are the guidelines of the event:

War Correspondents Takeover Livestreams

If you are unable to play be it you're not on Steam or away for the weekend, our incredible War Correspondents will be taking over our Hell Let Loose Official Twitch on Friday.

Last December I did a 24-Hour charity stream to raise money for this amazing charity. Since then, I have been working closely with the Children's Hospital on a very special project. Finally, I can now share this with you all, please watch the video in full to find out what that is.

Last year DBD and the Hell Let Loose Community (all of you guys) together raised a massive £780 for the children at the hospital to have an amazing Christmas.

父丨TenienteDahn is a dedicated leader of OGT (PC Competitive Community), an admin of Radical Gaming Network (PC/Console Centralized Networking Hub), and a huge contributor to the Hell Let Loose community. He has always been there to support others, bringing people together and making a positive impact in the gaming world. Now, he and his family are facing an unimaginable loss. His beloved daughter, Maria Jose Valle Bonilla, passed away at just 6 years old after bravely battling osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer.

This fundraiser is to help TenienteDahn and his family with the overwhelming costs of burial and funeral arrangements for Maria. Losing a child is every parent’s worst nightmare, and the financial burden only adds to the heartbreak. By coming together as a community, we can help ease some of their stress and show them they are not alone in this difficult time.

To honor Maria’s memory, RGN will be hosting two special Hell Let Loose event and invites allsupporters to join in celebrating her life. @normal wasp and Kaonashi will be Co-Casting both PC and Console matches. Anyone who donates has the first priority in being part of this event.
