(niko222) version problem
Hi I'm AutoThreadBot! Don't mind me, I'll just be adding the helper team to this thread so they can see it. A human will get to you soon.
!logs
Please post your full latest log file.
Background Info: One of the most helpful tools to identifying the source of a problem is your server logs file! Logs contain all sorts of important information like server and plugin versions, any error messages, and a lot more important information (More Info).
How To: Your log can be found in the logs folder within your server folder. The most recent log is a text file labeled latest.log. To get help using these logs, please open that file in a text editor and copy all of the text, then open https://paste.denizenscript.com/New/Log and paste the text into the box on the page. Then click "Submit" and copy the URL and paste that back into this channel.
Please do not upload the file to Discord or to other pastebin services, use the log pastebin linked above.
Please follow the above directions

@jagged mist
so i cant 1.21?
no
why
!patchversion
We support only the latest patch-version of Minecraft for any recent main version (and Mojang, Spigot, Paper, etc. all generally also follow the same rule).
"Patch version" means the last number in a version label, for example in 1.20.6, the main version is 1.20, and the patch version is .6.
So if 1.20.6 is the latest patch version, then 1.20.3, and 1.20(.0) are all outdated patch versions, and therefore are unsupported.
Note that we do still support recent older main versions (such as 1.19 and 1.18) so long as you are on the latest patch-version of those main versions (like 1.19.4 and 1.18.2).
See also CitizensWiki/Supported_versions
it's buggy, outdated, and citizens never supported it for more than a few weeks at most

i dont know if i can, the world will be the same? and other plugins can be on bad version and dont work
The world shouldn't change, and you can update other plugins if they don't work
1.21.0 is also a bad version to be on due to a critical exploit. You're required to update.
1.21.10 is the lowest currently supported
so what version should be the best
Atm probably 1.21.11
It's usually best to be on the latest or second-to-latest version, but 26.1 is so new they're still fixing bugs on it and Paper doesn't have a stable build
so for example in 1.19 the best is 1.19.4?
Yes, if you want to stay in a version that old...
what engine is the best for citizens?
Spigot and Paper are officially supported, but we recommend Paper
No
why
As I said, 1.21.10 is the lowest currently supported
It's also a bad idea to downgrade, as there could be world/data corruption
In reference to other 1.19 versions, 1.19.4 is the best
It doesn't work with Citizens
what is closest version to the 1.21 that citizens works?
But if you have to use a 1.19 version (for some reason), being on the latest version of it is the wisest
1.21.10
Currently supported is 1.21.10, 1.21.11, and 26.1.1
when i want to instal new engine (1.21.10 paper) on my hosting it says: "Changing the engine will delete some of your old files and is irreversible.
NOTE! When downgrading, you must delete the world, world_nether, and world_end folders so that the server can load correctly."
Anything it deletes is likely not needed anymore with that version
I would recommend performing a backup beforehand just in case something does go wrong
