Is it possible to have a pathfinding like a normal mob with a player citizen, that litteraly goes straight to u no left no right nonetheless if it stucks or anything, i need something fully basic because with the new pathfinder and even when its false my citizen struggles and especialy at faster speeds, and i need it to be pretty fast too ( or maybe a pathfinding like the mod customnpcs has )

(Siruis) Question about pathfinding
Hi I'm AutoThreadBot! Don't mind me, I'll just be adding the helper team to this thread so they can see it. A human will get to you soon.
( please feel free to ping me while answering )
/npc pathto -s lets you do this on a case by case basis
can you try it out and ask specifically what you want?
when im home ill put some videos about what i need and what my citizens do
its just when my citizens pathfinds to me ( using sentinel but i figured out that citizens does the pathfinding ) something he goes a bit left a bit right to sort of align himself?? and that a high speed makes him get janky a bit
i want it to be like the left one but citizens seems to do more like the right one ( green is citizen red is target )
if you want sentinel to add a straight line option, you should ask in #1024101613905920052
but isn't citizens directly who deals with pathfinding?
yes, but sentinel can just use the straight line option instead of pathfinding option
ohhh i also need it for citizen without sentinel tbh if maybe theres some settings that can make it work like that or anything
even if it needs me to code a plugin for it or something
can't citizen do that if i mess with the pathfinding settings or anything?
it's basically a difference of calling setStraightLineTarget vs setTarget
so should i call it with a plugin or theres a command that does it ?
/npc pathto -s calls it
but there is nothing that always does it at the moment
alright thank you i appreciate the help !
npc.pathfinding.straight-line-targeting-distance you can increase this setting to 90000
or something
thanks thats perfect
