I'm running a Custom Server with Custom plugins and having trouble intergrating my server with Citizens, I understand it's not support as a version of Minecraft and prepared to take on the issues brought on with them, Would i be able to pointed in the right direction for a working version of Citizens or have you completely disabled all versions in 1.20.1 as i've tried 7 different Builds/Snapshots.

Hi I'm AutoThreadBot! Don't mind me, I'll just be adding the helper team to this thread so they can see it. A human will get to you soon.

We don't support 1.20.1 and won't give out the jar due to a force-op exploit and due to it being unsupported.

#

I understand your reasoning but the security concern is too great.

You should update at least to 1.20.4, which was a near-stable version (relatively), if not all the way to 1.20.6 or 1.21.x

It's simply not possibly to update with the kinda of server i'm making, Got any ideas ?

Also just a shot in the dark in the server.properties. You can make op universally mean nothing and i use Luckperms.

#

I can also see in the code from the opensource for most servers it is possible to negate the op command out.

#

Thought you guys might also be interested in that if you did want to backport the version

I'm running it with a Strand of code only on 1.20.1 before Microsoft/Mojang patched it out that my whole idea revolves around.

#

It would be back to the chalk board.

#

If i may ask, Is the issue minecraft related or spigot/craftbukkit related

with version compatibility?

#

particularly such a weird version that few other servers would support

#

1.20.1 also has some security problems too, as lg_legacy mentioned

zenith willow
#

well chalkboard it is, Whats the compatibility with 1.21 forge?

muted island
#

Tentative. Citizens is built for paperspigot, and any forge compatibility is on their end. I'm told that hybrid servers have advanced enough that citizens should function fine, but we can't promise anything on them.

#

Also, in case it matters to you, for the same reason we don't provide support directly for hybrid servers, you'd have to replicate any issues on a paperspigot server, which isn't particularly hard

You would have to try it and see for forge compatibility

Easy enough!
