I have Vault with EssentialsX installed, but keep running into problems with EssentialsX (it's also bloated; I don't use most of it). I noticed https://meta.denizenscript.com/Docs/Search/economy#economy script containers and it made me think I might be able to handle creating the simple economy I need with this, but I don't understand it enough.

For economy scripts you need to have Vault installed

Do I need to have a second "bank" plugin also installed? Or can I "create my own" with an economy script container

You can create your own

and should remove other economy plugins to make sure that vault will hook into denizen one

or, disable them
