can't figure this out, may just be because of my inexperience with intellij/java, but I keep getting this error here: ZipException opening "citizens-main-2.0.31-SNAPSHOT.jar": zip END header not found when trying to compile denizen and depenizen.

do lmk what other info i should give 👀

pseudo leaf
#

I also noticed that both the citizens and denizen repo now have a /#/ in the url

First of all, make sure your local copies are fully updated (latest changes are merged into your fork and pulled locally)

#

After that, it seems like something went wrong with downloading that jar maybe? try deleting it from C:/Users/<You>/.m2/repository/net/citizensnpcs/citizens-main

pseudo leaf
#

I deleted my local copy of both and cloned them again, then deleted the entire .m2 folder and had the dependencies reinstalled, yet the problem persisted.

pseudo leaf
#

im still lost as to why it isn't working lol

#

i deleted my .m2 folder again and it still throws the same error

fallen berry
#

Hmm, probably unrelated but it solves a lot of random issues so who knows - try Files -> Invalidate Caches in Intellij?

pseudo leaf
#

tried that before and it didn't work unfortunately, will do it again and lyk :)

now i'm getting ZipException opening "denizen-1.2.7-SNAPSHOT.jar": zip END header not found this error

#

watf :(

fallen berry
#

And what happens when you try compiling Denizen (which is needed for compiling Depenizen either way)?

pseudo leaf
#

let me rebuild all of the buildtools then i'll give an update, was thinking that i had incorrectly set bt up so i uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times

pseudo leaf
#

am i typing this out right? java -jar BuildTools.jar --rev 1.17.1 --remapped remapped-mojang

#

now the buildtools thing is telling me that it's having trouble compiling spigot

#

._.

fallen berry
#

That looks fine? Could you post the output of java --version and mvn --version?

pseudo leaf
#

mvn wasn't found, assuming that's important lol

#

using git bash

fallen berry
#

Intellij has a bundled Maven install, so I think it should be fine - what exactly is BuildTools saying?

pseudo leaf
#

here i'll pop over the buildtools.log.txt haste

fallen berry
#

^ post the actual log file

no idea what vipre antivirus is so definitely not that, but i'll give yet another go at the .m2 folder delete and see what happens

fallen berry
#

Do you have any antivirus at all? might be worth trying to disable that

pseudo leaf
#

other than the default windows defender, no

actually im facing the same issue now, was working on luckperms bridge update and suddenly after updating my main branch i just cant compile it anymore

#

i tried completely removing the project from intellij, other branches as well but still cant compile it

fallen berry
#

That's weird, compiles fine for me (although might be because I already have the relevant dependencies in my local repo, will check that later)

pseudo leaf
#

deleting my .m2 folder, building buildtools again, invalidating caches, then compiling worked for me

#

lol

yay
