whenever I update the card database my computer crashes during it, I just did so and it results in the card data base being updated i think, but it causes the screen to lock up and i have to reboot my pc. the card updater said it was "parsing" when my computer crashed. this is a bit annoying but isn't a new issue it happens repeatedly whenever I update the card database for the last few months

How much RAM do you have?

i have 8 GB of ram

sounds like a hardware issue on your pc, if it crashes the entire computer then you should either check it yourself (removing and reinstalling the ram is a common solution) or have it checked by a professional
