I’d love to have “modules” for my ship that I can copy in whenever I build them, or make ships that are constructed of pre-made smaller parts, but painting them all individually is a pain.
Is it possible to get a “pasted into existing” option like in the build menu so I can just paste the paintjob (all 3 layers) and stick it onto the ship? I’d be infinitely thankful!

Nope, not that I can see it
You can copy and paste the individual layers from different ships that are currently in the system.

You can copy-paste the decal of one ship to another, but yeah, that's a tedius work around for that
