There are certain circumstances where I don't want boost thrusters to be used during normal flight, where I install them more like PDs rather than in a pack like normal thrusters. In these types of designs, I don't want to waste their battery reserves during normal flight, and instead reserve them for emergency situations so I can quickly maneuver and get up to speed at a moment's notice. I recommend a mode toggle for boost thrusters for normal mode, boost only mode, and manual boost mode (where the full ship boost shortcut doesn't activate them, only selecting the thruster individually or with a control group to activate).

You can currently achieve such an effect by turning the thrusters off until you need the boost, but a dedicated option will simplify that greatly.
