I took over an enemy ship "Spotlight" and fully repaired it, and now, after a battle, suddenly the crew will not go out to repair a little bit of damage to the armor that i didnt have the resources to repair earlier.

The neccessary steel for repair are in Spotlight's storage bay and when i click the repair button it shows that it will use that steel, but no crew exit the ship, even though the airlock is accesible and on. the crew's priority for the task of repairs is nine, and yet most of them are just idle in their bunks. there are no squad orders.

When this happens to me, I don't usually have enough free crew in excess of the primary roles (pilot[s], gunners, batteries to guns/cockpit). Try dragging a selection around your ship while it's already selected and a repair is qued up and hit the power button in the lower right of the screen to turn everything off and once done, again to power back on

This is caused by a small piece of floating debris in the way of the parts needing to be repaired. Don't blame you for not noticing, it really blends in well until you try to move or use the salvage tool. In fact it appears to be entirely unselectable due to overlapping hitboxes, which may be a bug in its own right.
