#Distinguishing vanilla parts from modded parts

Make vanilla parts somehow separated from modded parts so it could be easier for people like me, that are kinda new to the game, to distinguish modded and vanilla parts. OGs of the game maybe know all vanilla parts by heart, but it's a QoL thing, won't bother anyone.

As on concept pic. Make vanilla parts stand out with in-game green border glow or green text with * symbol. Or vice-versa, apply these to modded parts 🤷‍♂️

This thing could be applied when mods are present in the game.

Should (imho of course) try out the game unmodded at first anyway, at which point you'd learn what the default game has to offer, then (if you want to) download mods to enhance your gaming experience.

This way you'd know which parts come with the default game from top of your head.

The reason I don't really like this idea as is, is because it would add nothing to the game except to break immersion when using mods.
Imo a good mod enhances a default game seamlessly.

I don't really see how this would actually benefit anyone except for people new to the game who rush and install a bunch of mods and then (for whatever reason) would want to know which parts are from the default game. The use of such a feature for basically anybody else would be next to meaningless. And it would only add dev time which could be spend better someplace else.

Or at least that's my first thought of this suggestion. It doesn't really benefit anyone except for the few who don't really bother to want to learn the game anyway, so why cater to them?

It doesn't help with solving an issue with a mod, as you'd still not know what the offending mod is since you still can't distinguish between those anyway (unless the mod author specifically added in this information).

It could of course be made a mod, to show which parts are default parts (for ships anyway).

I've thought about this for a long time, and I think the best approach would be to list all parts' ID at the bottom of stats. Vanilla parts would show up as cosmoteer.part, while modded parts would show up as mod.part. That'd not only help with distinguishing vanilla parts from modded, but also help you figure out what mod is adding a specific part if you have a massive list.

Could actually make this an advanced setting which can be enabled and disabled
