I would like to have the Creative mode select tool to have a "duplicate the selected objects" feature, to allow easily duplicate an existing ship, asteroid, or other existing object. Could be as simple as holding Ctrl while moving the selected objects.
There are some workarounds currently, such as for single ships to save/spawn, build mode copy/new ship/paste, but having the not-in-build mode select tool implement a copy function would just make sense to me.
