Tower-class point defense in a similar form factor to the sensor. It would deactivate missiles without destroying them, and explode bullets. Thus, missiles would become mines and ammo would become missiles if they got too close, so it wouldn't be crazy overkill.

not missiles, they'd just explode heavily when destroyed. I kind of imagined this block as somewhat of a force field, affecting incoming projectiles.

When I read internal PD, I think of a cabin turret that could be included into the crew combat update, not what I read just there xD
