Whenever boarding is added as a mechanic, I think it would be cool to have the ability to have miniature single use craft (functioning similar to missiles) that could transport one person (per craft) from a launcher on a larger ship and then release the person onto the hostile ship. meant to be used as a kind of swarm

FTL has this. it's a drone that flies and breaches the hull of enemy ship and then attack the room or the crew.
