its kinda annoying it dissapears at a certain mid zoom level, i'd rather just "pin it" and keep it constantly up. instead of spending my time regetting the map by zooming or losing it at a cruical time.

There’s options for that I believe

#

Not completely sure though

If you press alt while your mouse is over the target ship it locks your target (pressing alt again turns it back off). Is this what you mean in terms of a desired effect @fringe ferry?

gettting the map is not the problem, just at a mid zoom level its not there anymore, i can get a gif

Please do so! More info for clarity always helps

its really akward too becuase its actually at the hight i could find it useful to not only see the foe, but also what i want to target

#

(i don't mean it switching either, thats something else but i am not bothered about that)

#

it also feels inconsitent when it decides to hide

#

i sit around 3ft away from 32" screen
plus lets say when you pin it it doesnt lose track of what ship you pinned so it doesnt switch (or perhaps thats a second type of pin)
though atm i think i'd be content with just the ability to pin the ship mini map always there

At certain levels it assumes you can see the actual ship is all. If you want it to always stick just press alt while mousing over it, but I digress

i don't see this alt thing your talking about, it pops up with an eyeball next to the mouse but the mini map never changes no matter what i hover over

#

or worse, never pops up

Er, yes... the alt is a DC thing. I think it might work if you give your ship an attack command too?

fringe ferry
#

well that feels clunky
and no, no alt via attack command

#

which i do most of my combat with

#

basically, going into dc, getting its mini map via alt, then leaving dc, well thats another issue

#

we digress

#

i appricate you trying to help though

You're correct though, should definitely be a way to have the window open and pinned outside of DC. I'm half sure there's a way to do it if you mess with settings, just not sure how that'd work

these are the settings
