I’m building a ship intended to fabricate resources from raw materials, but because it’s very small, I don’t want to invest it’s internal space in storages. I can work with just the factories. However, I cannot transfer raw resources from my mining ship to my fabricator ship, and after testing, I discovered that transfer is only possible when storages are present. But factories have their own internal storage as well, and I don’t see a reason for transfer to be prohibited simply because no storage rooms are present. My tests also show that crew are completely willing to gather resources floating in space if only factory space is available - only ship-to-ship transfer is prohibited. The error message doesn’t mention this requirement either, only suggesting that airlocks may be the issue.
