I have made this slightly more formal message to outline important information to the reasons I was unable to participate in the later rounds, why I believe that Salephz's suggestion should be followed through, as well as why I had not submitted a ship until the last moment.
Why I was unable to participate in the later rounds
Unfortunately I have reached the age of 16, in my country this is the legal driving age, as well as the age of which many things, under the law, I would now be able to do (such as drive a car, fly a plane, drive a boat, travel around the world on my own, write a will, etc) the problematic part of this however is that as the oldest brother in the family, I need to take responsibility of nearly everything my younger ones do. One particular brother of mine is what many would call a "Gamer" or one who plays video games for countless hours on end, and does nearly nothing else.
Because of this, he often neglects his regular chores around the house, and in this particular month, as it was going to be his birthday (which is today actually), he did even more of nothing (if that was possible). Since these things were needed to be taken care of, I as the oldest brother had to do his chores for him, culminating into yesterday as it was the final cutoff of when we needed to finish various chores and was the only day I was free from not going to school or other extra curricular activities.
Yesterday I was given a small amount of time to actually play, and thus I attempted to stretch the time i had to when I actually needed to be in the tournament. Furthermore, I was not aware that there would be multiple rounds for me to fight in as I had assumed it would have functioned like the previous tournaments.
This combination of: being overworked, being uninformed about the modifications to the tournament functions, and being very tired and very angry. (that's actually why I named it the "Sword of Overwhelming Rage") I was unable to play later on because my parents had deemed it important for me to focus on getting the work done and turned off my electronics (as they also assumed the tournament for me was over).
Why Salephz's Idea should be followed through:
(Note that I also don't know what else happened in the tournament as i have not seen it and wont be able to watch it in it's entirety as I am extremely busy today as well)
I believe that we should not have been disqualified from the tournament as for me in particular, was given extreme misfortune in being completely unable to play due to multiple misunderstandings and the my brother's infuriating laziness. when we were called to fight each other, we were both far away from our homes (I was driving and also don't have discord on my phone (unable to install because of parental restrictions))
Anyways, The only reason to why I was disqualified is because my luck was shit, my brother is shit, and unneeded parental restrictions are shit.

remember the part about my brother's birthday party? well it was actually supposed to be yesterday, but i was only informed about the move to today on FRIDAY just before 6:00pm
so no I did not have a month, I had 20 hours - 8 hours for sleep giving me HALF A DAY jam packed with work I had previously mentioned so roughly 30 minutes of actual play time of which I had access to my ships and could send it to you
TL;DR
Why I was unable to participate in the later rounds
I had a miniscule amount of time to actually play because of absurd amounts of work I had to do because my brother refused to do anything of which for a majority of the time i was also completely unable to access any of my personal electronics.
Why Salephz's Idea should be followed through:
I was unable to come because of bad misfortune and my brother's rampant laziness and parental restrictions (I mention this quite a bit as my parents love restrictions)
Oh yeah, also why I was had not submitted a ship
I did not have one month, I had 30 minutes as my brother's birthday was originally going to be yesterday but was moved to today (and I was informed on Friday just before 6:00)
Oh but why could I not just submit it when I found out? because the computer I had with Cosmoteer installed was locked because of, you guessed it, parental restrictions.
Anyways, I hope you are satisfied with my reasoning, but I have to go because guess what, my brother and his birthday party
Oh yeah one last thing
this is not me "raging" or being angry, this tournament was made by you and is controlled by you, I'm not telling you to do anything, this was made just to inform you of my situation and what happened in the background to cause these issues
and one final thing, I don't cheat unless I have good reason to do so, winning a tournament in a video game that I play casually is not a good reason. I'm completely fine with losing, I just want to play the game and mess around as I don't really get the chance too in my regular life
