A counterpick loop exists because you can see that your opponent has selected rock. The difference is that you can change your ship choice instead of getting curbstomped

But the thing is the person trying to curbstomp you doesn't know what you're going with, you might have subconsciously chosen a hardcounter...

...That's it's own can of worms as it encourages to play with only ships that have the least amount of hardcounters, making the matches all the same ships.

I hate counterpick loops but I hate watching and experiencing same matches 50 times over even more. Variety is what makes these tournaments fun to me.

Also I'm too desperate at this point.
All I've been doing is making gimmicky pvp ships and seeing if they work or not. Spoiler alert, 95% of them are utter dogwater, the only one that suceeded is the Halo and I guess Papershredder isn't terrible as well.

I was thinking, by making this many incredibly obscure ships and adding on to them would maybe allow me to make something incredibly unknown yet really powerful. But no the best I got is a half-decent pvp ship.

Iirc Walt's actually not currently sure why it happens in the first place, theoretically the physics raytracing should see that it's supposed to collide and not phase.

As far as linking ships goes, there are still other methods such as physics nonsense with armor/structure combo parts.
