#Pivot point static during local transform

I was wondering if this is a bug/if this can be changed. When using the local transform mode, the Pivot Point remains in place while the mesh is moved, unlike the other two transform modes, global and parent. This makes it significantly more difficult to use local transform in situations where you want your pivot point to remain fixed in place on the mesh you're moving, but want to use local transform orientation to move the mesh, as showcased in the first video. The second video shows how the local transform works in Blender, with the orange dot being Blender's equivalent to the Pivot Point in Blockbench.

I believe this is intentional

"local" means you transform in the space of the pivot, therefore moving the pivot makes little sense
