Help with learning to texture

Hey all!
Ive been modeling in minecraft and blockbench for about 6+ years now. But recently ive come back to modeling after a long break.

And so far, I'm not happy with any of the textures I have made. The models I love, but once I start to texture it ruins everything. Does anyone have any good resources are videos on how to texture properly? I just want my models to look better as I work with a minecraft server.

I mean, what i personally do is find inspiration online for textures and see the different ways its textured by many ppl, this doesn't mean copying but you can inspire yourself from how other colored similar stuff to what you're making
