[Minecraft Skin] Chests look weird. Is this normal?

As the title should imply, I want to make a texture for the chest... but... Idk if I'm supposed to be seeing this (see images for clarity) when previewing the texture.

Can anyone help me understand if this is intentional or not, please?

The uv mapping isnt fully correct what makes the wrong texture being displayed on top
