Just copy the one leg over after you finish painting the side

only paint one front leg and one back leg then duplicate and mirror

same with wings and horns and anything else that's mirrored

Make sure you're Transforming and Flipping

#

name everything xx_l and then duplicate it

then transform it

#

it'll automatically update to xx_r

I'm thinking you're renaming everything after you're copying it
