#Creating Bedrock models even when selecting java specifically.

I feel like maybe I'm missing something. Heres whats goin on, I am attempting to make a bamboo spear item. I am also a plugin dev so my goal is just a custom trident with different data. I am very new to modeling and blockbench. My issue is that even when selecting to make a java model, it seems to be creating a bedrock model. The issue seems to specifically be the format version field. I could be wrong, but my research says that field is only for bedrock items. I looked up a few tutorials and it seems like when people click to make a java item, this field isn't there. So I am extremely confused with this whole process, and any insight on the matter would be amazing.

I suppose the Block/Item model is the tag that needs to go but I cant seem to remove it.

Also to be clearer, I already created and exported a model that I can't use because it's in bedrock format, despite me clicking to make a java item.

So the Java Block/Item model format is not exporting a "Bedrock Edition" model
