With what?
Bruh
hi i recently got into 3d modeling but i have ran into a roadblock and i cant seem to import my models and i want them to be when you name tag them to have the mode i will send picture.
This seems to be an optifine cem issue, am I correct?
do in need optifine
Yes this format for custom textured named items, called cit, requires optifine or citresewn to work. In 1.21.5+ there is a different format that works without mods but it will not work in 1.21.1
i have mods but it is on fabric
Then use citresewn
k
It was basically made so you can use the optifine format with fabric
If there is still an issue with citresewn then ping me and I'll get back when I can
- By not working do you mean that renaming does nothing?
- Could you show the contents of the properties file?
In general, when you ask for help, the more information you give us, the more likely it is you'll get the help you want. Links to repositories, assets (bbmodel/java/png), and screenshots - even gif/videos of the issue if you can screen record with Nvidia driver or something else.
When screenshotting, it's best to include your full screen, not just the area you think the problem is in. Often times, when we have a problem, we are missing something easy and without providing enough information, no one is able to help us.
type=item
matchItems=minecraft:diamond_axe
model=./maeyann.json
nbt.display.Name-iregex:maeyann
"credit": "Made with Blockbench",
"parent": "Diamond_axe",
"texture_size": [64, 64],
"textures": {
"22": "mincraft:item/maeyann"
},
"elements": [
it does nothing
Your parent line is invalid, change it to reference "diamond_axe"
No capital letters should be allowed in file names (optifine may remove some of these restrictions but it is still bad practice to use them)
Also wait
Wait what
You have parts of both the model and properties file there
Oh those are two different files you've posted snippets of
k ill see if it will work
type=item
matchItems=minecraft:diamond_axe
model=./maeyann.json
nbt.display.Name-iregex:maeyann
is this long enough btw
for my properties
sense it is not working
yes i did
Alright so to recap
You are using citresewn on 1.21.1 and your cit axe won't show up when you rename it
Correct?
yes
Change Name to lowercase name and try that
Wait no this is the example in the docs
nbt.display.Name=iregex:Letter
Oh so nvm change the dash to equals
OK progress
Check the output log
!faq output log
The output log will show you errors related to resource packs in Minecraft: Java Edition. Here is how you can enable it.
(PS: Optifine likes to hide vanilla errors/warnings for some weird reason, so always load the game up without it if you don't need it for your pack to work!)
If you don't understand the errors/warnings feel free to show and ask about them (in a help channel).
There should be some sort of error (prob yellow text) related to your texture/model
it does not show
Is the texture black and purple or jumbled up
yes it is
black and purple
Strange, error textures almost always have some sort of error in the output log
Could you show/post the first bit of your model file? The texture section is the relevant part for this
Also please ping me when you reply so I can respond sooner
Missing textures in model citresewn_model_path:minecraft/optifine/cit/maryann#inventory:
minecraft:textures/atlas/blocks.png:minecraft:./maryann
is that not good
got the texture to work thank you for helping
Oh awesome
Are there any other issues that still need fixing?
If not, do /close
no no issues
