Changing individual vertices

I recall there was a way to change the individual vertices (corner points) of a cube, though I can't remember how. Does anyone have a tutorial/link that explains?

Ohh It might be because it's a cube, not a mesh...

That is it, you can only move independantly the vertices of a mesh

Yeaa I figured. Though I realised generic models/meshes doesn't work for minecraft models...
