Hello, I do texture packs most of the time, but I wanted to add more details like making the textures glow like with the spider eyes and enderman eyes, but all the explanations only made me more confused.

All I want is to know if it's possible to do it in vanilla, and how to do it step by step.

Immersive textures Aka, glowing vanilla textures

shaders automatically apply the emmesive logic onto it

vanilla shaders as well

#

and I dont know the value, something to do with the opacity of a pixel

But I want to make it for vanilla, not just with shaders, and also, how do I regulate if I just want something transparent?

shaders are already in default vanilla, its the normal rendering and its a very specific parameter of values

been the same since the start

#

when were glowing spider eyes added?

oblique temple
#

Since ever?

#

Same with the enderman

#

And now with the glowing squid's

in a nutshell shaders are something that determine how the game looks, when you install new shaders, you just replace what vanilla's shaders have been doing

#

pretty sure custom use the same parameters as vanilla's for special effects

oblique temple

And what is that "vanilla shader"?

blazing wolf
#

The option that is always on

#

Or you run vanilla shaders or you run a custom one

#

Theres alot more to it but I only model and texture, I'm not really good at implementing things ingame

oblique temple
#

You mean the post-processing shaders?

#

Because every time I do the opacity thing, it's just translucid in game

blazing wolf
#

Its a very specific value

oblique temple
#

And what is that value?

As I have reiterated before I have absolutely no foundation for that information, your best statistic for locating this value quickly is to go into the infinite library of electricity where you can locate said value. I wish you the best of luck on your journey of project passion.
