hello!, I had this idea of a project that might work well with the whole "horror mod" thingie that had been popular as of recently, so Im making my own "stalker enemy" and I need some help with the model

my idea is that this thing has an unactive stage (the one in the pic) and a active stage where he actually chases the player, he has a lot more mechanics going on and I hope that he delivers a better experience than the rest BUT I need help with the models

you see, the structure in its inactive stage (pic) its also present on my idea of the active stage, and I want this structure to have the same texture on both versions, so how do I do it? I have heard you can define different textures for different blocks but idk how well that can translate to objmc for example, I have never worked with a doble texture model

so, uh, how?

So you want different models to have the same texture?

#

Oh okay I think I understand? The same model has states where it stays still and where it chases the player or whatever right?

Oh I see, I got confused with the way you said texture

#

When you say texture, you mean you want it to look similar but other things appear

#

Just make two different textures and by click on each, the model will also change with each

#

You can make the inactive carcass first, then copy/paste the texture and edit it from there however you'd like
