Hello it is 4am I have been working on this for many hours and I just can not get it to work. I am like, genuinely very upset at this. So I have a little project, nothing major I'm not very good at modelling, where I'm making some little models for my favorite transformer characters. It has nothing to do with minecraft at all. A lot of them have the same look and are just distinguished by color, so I just recolor em, which is fine. My issue is that I can't save the texture pngs or export them. I do not know why. It just... wont let me. I always try to save and have multiple backups of files and I have absolutely no clue why I can't save any of these.

If I click the save icon on the corner, it takes me to file explorer to name and save my file. But when I do that and click save, NOTHING happens. I have searched my entire pc and I can not find the file. Blockbench does not say it has been saved. BUT HERES THE THING? If i close blockbench, if i shut off my pc and restart and come back... they still have their textures when i reopen blockbench. So the image file is THERE. SOMEWHERE. I just cant save or export it. first image is where i go to save, second is the screen it gives when im tryign to save, 3rd is the file explorer after i hit save and there is nothing there.

If anyone knows anything... please help. I tried to search for an answer and couldnt find anything like my issue, i am really sorry if i missed somethign obvious somewhere.

And ive been able to save textures as png before in the past... I had to do that to edit one with sone filters in another program before. So this is a new issue

Don't think I need help with this anymore but just saying this here as reference but. Bizarre. I ended up having to copy paste the images directly from blockbench into an art program and save them that way, and then delete the texture in blockbench and load the new one in. Except importing textures doesnt do anything, ONLY drag and drop actually put the image file into the project. And then doing that messed up the UV sizes so I had to fix that.

Uh. not sure what that is about but the saving/importing buttons just straight up do not work. But I can work around that now that I know. weird. bye
