I know this image is quite complex but i want to do something like to have "depth" in the block, like imagine a block and a line that goes all around the block but +1 pixel on top but can i do it in a java block model?

I also want to know, my block isnt a full block i want it to be smaller and in the center (using 16x16 textures i guess) idc if its floating, i will have to center the block in the model?

im quite new so...

like this

looks like a rubik cube

however, you will probably want to make this model replace a block such as glass

#

since replacing a solid full block such as stone will make it cull the block faces next to it

#

while you can see through glass

#

you can also, instead of using a bunch of 1x1 cubes, change the sizes of them to be longer

#

so like 1x8

oh yeah I'm doing that

#

oh ok you just have the pixel grid on I see

#

what model format is the model you have

lofty shoal
#

it's modded

rigid cradle
#

oh using a mod?

ye

#

oh ok sorry I didn't see the tag :|

#

so ignore what I said about the glass

#

make it use the cutout render layer

lofty shoal
#

oh okay

#

idk what that is tho

#

😭

#

are you able to get this model in the game yet

#

you should be able to convert this project to a block model and it should work

lofty shoal
#

oh ok tyy

rigid cradle
#

maybe just a few tweaks if you rotated cubes

#

I'm just making the model for now

#

I would recommend making it in the block model format

#

so you know that it works with those limitations

#

from what I see here it looks fine but it's easy to make something that will not work in a block model
