Yes.
Though I guess you could have the pack somewhere outside the .minecraft folder too (though that's just extra steps for no real benefit usually)
Sorry if this is a silly question - is it the resource pack folder not shaders? Is there a particular resource pack I could use?
All good - I do have two there I can use.
Where is the data pack located?
I think ive found a wiki to create a data pack, so I'll give it a try. I don't normally use a resource pack when I play, just shaders - should I have the resource pack turned on to create the data pack file?
resource pack and datapack are two separate things if you mean that.
Gimme a minute to get on my PC and I'll check the AJ export options again (haven't used it in a while myself)
K, so the resourcepacks field should have the pack.mcmeta of the resource pack you want the models to go in.
The datapack field should point to the "datapacks" folder inside the world you want to have the datapack in.
This might help too
I might be a complete noob but I did read this wiki 'getting started' - the resource pack makes sense and so does the datapack just was not sure where to select what
Hmm, seems like the datapack needs to select a datapack's pack.mcmeta file too (not just the folder)
Def is the same file path this is what the file path is
C:\Users\laubs\AppData\Roaming.minecraft\saves\ForRealzbyMegNeko\datapacks\pack.mcmeta
Should be datapacks/yourpack/pack.mcmeta
"datapacks" is the folder for all datapacks after all, not the actual folder of a datapack
the datapacks folder is created per world, so I've created a new folder in the datapacks folder here
so datapacks/mydatapack/pack.mcmeta
I'll keep trying - and read through the help file a bit more 🙂
make a "data" folder next to pack.mcmeta
ok
okay that resolved that message...
Thank you! I’m going to go through the next few steps now I really appreciate your patience with me ☺️
When it says Summoning the Rig is as easy as running the animated_java:<project_name>/summon function. - where do I run this function?
ingame
