Items adder fakes blocks by placing item models in item frames (which have no hitbox to stand on etc.).
Not sure if they hide a cobblestone stair block or similar in it usually, but that would be some items adder specific setting
If it already has a hitbox to stand on but you wanna have the outline when looking at it that won't work most likely cause the item model is slightly larger than the block model to cover it, hence it covers that block outline too.
So how would I make slabs and stairs stuff
https://itemsadder.devs.beer/faq/create-slabs-stairs-tridents-armors-etc#slabs-and-stairs
You can't create solid custom slabs and stairs.
The problem is that Minecraft doesn't allow custom hitboxes for custom blocks.
Which is worded weirdly since the game has no concept of "custom blocks" to begin with. (and itemsadder fakes new blocks as described earlier)
Is there any ideas for my honey shop then
not without making a mod afaik
Ohh but dose anyone have any ideas for a honey shop I know I can make armor and tools but don’t know what else I should add
@twilit shadow anyway you can help me make a custom armor set
explained in the same link I sent earlier
Yeah that stupid website it doesn’t tell you shit what to do or how to do it
Trying to do the layers and that doesn’t tell me how to
yeah, ofc it's only talking about the stuff that's specific to itemsadders
it assumes you know how to create a texture already
so it aint "stupid"
File > New > Skin > Armor (Main)
(and Armor (Leggings) for the layer used for the pants)
It even has an example pack.
What more do you want the website to do?
Yeah what about telling you how to get the layers that’s only where to place stuff that I know how to
the website assumes you know the basics of making a normal resource pack, so it assume you also know how to get default assets
or that you use its example assets as base
i am getting the expemple pack and changing it to what i went but all i need to know is how did the get those 2 layers
@twilit shadow also how do you add the color weel stuff
probably by retexturing the default texture
!faq default-pack
Minecraft: Default Pack
Disclaimer: Use these packs as REFERENCE, don't put your models inside them, it just increases your pack needlessly. Also don't put any of the unedited files from it into your own pack. The distributions of default assets in your pack is illegal.
For Java Edition:
(This works the same for all versions, 1.17 is just used as an example here)
Go to .minecraft/versions/1.17 and open the 1.17.jar in there with a zip program. Alternativley you can copy the .jar file and change the file extension to .zip and double click it.
Extract/copy the "assets" folder inside the jar somewhere. It contains all the default models/textures.
For Bedrock Edition:
Go to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/minecraft/creator/documents/resourcepack and scroll to "Building the Resource Pack". The download for the vanilla resource pack can be found right above that title.
Alternatively here is the direct download link: https://aka.ms/resourcepacktemplate
what color wheel stuff?
so whats the purpose of a png for a picture and the layers one how can i mkae one and exprt the other ot theres no way to do that i need to do both
@twilit shadow
what?
armor layer textures are pngs, just like any other texture if you mean that
so if i make the png file for the helment i need to do the same for skin or will the skin have all the stuff i need
what skin?
These give you templates to draw your armor texture on
take a look at this did they did this sepreate or what else they did
layer_1 is for helmet, chestplate and boots, layer_2 is for pants
layer_1 = Armor (Main) in Blockbench
layer_2 = Armor (Leggings) in Blockbench
i KNOW but how can i get the pictures or i need to make them myself from seprate then layers 1 and 2 omg
you mean the item icons?
tes
ofc you need to make them separate
yes
so let say i made something like this how would i covert this for the minecraft skin??
Is there a way I can get this into layer automatically???
@twilit shadow
Is there a way I can get this into layer automatically???
... item icons and armor texture are compeltely and utterly independent of one another
you cannot generate one from the other
in your what?
in the paint in blochbench
if you are talking about the texture you click the 💾 icon next to them (or rightclick > Save As)
if you are talking about the color palette, you can save that in the color palette section
Yeah the palette how would I save it
