#How To Modify Texture Grid

When I create a new texture, it gives me a grid that is usually not lined up with the direction or shape of my mesh.

In the picture attached I would like the pixels to follow the blade as it curves, so the grid would tilt slightly as the blade bends. How do I modify the pixel grids alignment to do that?

You would need to modify the uv itself so that the edges align with the grid

Ohh I see. In the edit window I can click the faces and rotate them to line up.
