How do I make 3d skins?

I have a question, how do I make minecraft skins that have a 3D look & feel to it. I would also like to know how to get shaders! I want 3D skin layers.

there is a mod for that in-game, but if you want a 3d model you probably need to make the 3d layers manually

you could just take screenshots with the 3d skin layers mod and shaders

file>import>extruded texture

then select you file skin

(do it in block/item model format or general format)

this will create 3d parts of skin as in the png
