hi! I'm currently working on a resprite for iron golems, and I would like to have it lose limb segments as it sustains damage. However, the cracked textures act as an overlay on top of the base sprite, rather than changing the base. This means it is possible to add opaque areas but not to remove them. Leaving the base blank and putting the entire texture in the overlay sprites almost works, but the first stage does not have an overlay so the golem would be visible on the first stage.
Is there a way to reconfigure these sprites to replace instead of overlay the base? Alternatively, is there a way to define a new cracked overlay sprite for the first stage?
