#Uncaught Type Error / Blockbench no longer works
24 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Are you on Windows 7 or 8 perhaps?
If yes, the latest version that supports those is 4.6.5 iirc (it's explained on the downloads page too iirc).
I'm on windows 10 but i can try to download that version
Hmm, have you installed any new plugins lately?
Maybe one of those has an error (or doesn't interact well in combination with another)
I installed geckolib recently, what i will do is unistall blockbench, download said version and see what happens next.
Win 10 shouldn't have a problem with newer versions
Did you install geckolib through Blockbench's plugin list or manually?
I installed it through the plugin list i think, am i able to go into the files of blockbench and remove it manually? Since that could be the problem.
Back at the screen again after unistalling / re-installing
There we go i fixed it, were good.
what did you do to fix it?
I just unistalled it and then deleted the files in local and roaming which apparently fixed it. Ty for the help
did that also reset the list of plugins you had installed?
It did but geckolib was the only one i downloaded previously, Nothing to worry about.
Did you perhaps add any new tools to the toolbars?
Cause that seems to have been someone's previous reason for that error:
A bunch yeah, that is probally what caused the problem.
And if i get this problem again, if i post
localStorage. removeItem( ' toolbars ' )
into Blockbench's console it should fix it?
yep
You can open the console with Ctrl+Shift+I (might need to swap to the Console tab if it opens the (HTML) Elements tab for example)
Alright thank you, im going to close down the thread now.
