I would like to remove the base of an anvil, is it possible? I have a ship and I use 2 anvils as the ship's cannon. I wanted the front anvil to be without its base, to look more like a cannon. So when I use a name tag ("anvil edited" for example) it gets the custom skin. As the attached photo

Anvils are block models.
Best thing you could do is to reuse one of the damaged variants for this, or you use item frames and make it an item model.

-Blocks can't have different models based on NBT
-There are 3 anvil blocks. The normal one, the chipped one and the damaged one. What JTK222 said is that you could change the model of the chipped or damaged one for the parts that shouldn't have the base part.
