Is there an easier way to apply a texture pattern to selected parts of a model?

I am modeling a vehicle, and the majority of the vehicle can just be a repeating pattern of something. The problem is I dont know how to make it only be on selected parts. I can make it so all parts are affected by making the entire texture file the repeating pattern, but I dont know how to make it the selected parts only.

Is there any way to effieciently do such task? What are some other painting techniques that could definetely save some time if I am painting the same thing over and over again?

You can bake it to a new image with a custom uv map and change the parts that you need to be different... But then the resolution of the repeating pattern would most likely change to lower on the new texture (and it actually wouldn't be a repeating pattern)
I'm unsure if blockbench has something like separate materials

Or if Minecraft allows that

drag the UVs of the stuff you don't want as that pattern to somewhere else and use different texture
