#Texture issue

I was following Brandon James Greers blockbench video to try to get the feel of it (copying the steps taken to understand the program) but when trying to add textures, it would only allow them in certain locations. The texture map shows that the lines that I attempted to draw for my example are there, but I can’t find them anywhere on the model. Other locations do work and I’m not sure why. (Sorry I’m new to this and am not sure how this works)

i think some of the textures on the UV map are hidden on your model. They may be in a place theyre not visible from the outside

Sorry if I’m asking for too much, but do you know what I can do to change that? Sorry

are you painting on the model directly?

I think you might have mistaken some UV islands for some other places on the model? Have you looked at the model from all angles?

You could temporarily paint the meshes with the bucket tool in element mode and a flashy color to identify what UV island corresponds to what mesh, or what UV Island to what part of it. You can also toggle the UV overlay (the icon with two rectangles one atop another in the bottom right corner of the paint tab) to see the wireframe over the texture.

If you tried that but still nothing makes sense and you cannot paint part of the model, then come back to us with some screenshots or a video, plus the model and texture for us to try editing
