Importing OBJs is supported but only in the generic model format. There is a plugin allowing you to import gITFs as reference, but you cannot import them as actual models.
It's not as simple to add as you think. Most of the Blockbench formats are Minecraft ones, and those will not support importing poly-meshes in their formats.

As I said, you can import OBJs to the generic format. Once it's an OBJ, the model is a mesh, and Blockbench won't recognize it as a cube but rather a mesh.
Its not an issue of can it be done. Jannis doesnt want polymesh style enabled for bedrock since its his program, its his choice. Nothing stopping you from working around it.
